This October has been chosen by RENFE to start implementing its new system of tariffs in the AVE, which aims to optimize the profitability per seat and seek the maximum occupancy. This will be used, is used as-a relaxation of these tariffs, eliminating conventional discounts which had so far (Web fares, Star …) to establish a method similar to the airlines.

The new tariff system in the AVENow observe the criteria for establishing the cost of a trip will be the date, time and passengers, meaning in them, quality and quantity, ie number of them that make the route and class of travel (tourist or Business). Special software will combine these factors into a database to determine the cost of the span.

Prices will vary, therefore, from one day to another even within the same line, depending on demand, as is happening with the airlines. And a traveler can find no discount tickets if your idea is to travel a certain day at a specific time, but also with rebates of up to 70% if you choose another day and time slot.

This October is the month chosen to start the new system but not generally. We begin by the AVE Madrid-Barcelona, ??where you can already find seats from 35.30 euros each way, and from there it will spread to other lines during 2012.
